Salman has been caring for me as my degenerative disk disease progresses for several years and each time I have gone to see him he has proven to be a straight-shooter who is willing to tell me the truth but do it in a kind and supportive way. He is warm, funny, smart, and over the years, has made a real effort to know me as a person. I truly believe he has my best interests at heart and I trust Eric Salman. Not only that, but I actually enjoy our appointments and look forward to seeing him. Frankly, in today’s health-care climate which seems to value dollars over all else, that is high praise.

Dr. Chang performed surgery on my cervical spinal cord this year. When we met preop I was impressed with his honest, open, and kind demeanor and his warmth. He took time with me, answered all of my questions, and left me feeling as if I was in great hands. The surgery went well and Dr. Chang went out of his way to check in with me after. I had heard that Dr. Chang was the best and my experiences confirmed that.

“Dr. Chang did a triple fusion on my neck. My original orthopedic surgeon had scared me when he said I needed a ‘rod in my entire neck’ and that I would never be able to touch my chin to my chest again. There was also a risk of damage to the vocal cords which freaked me out since I teach and sing. I’m glad I got a second opinion from Dr. Chang because he did a great job. My fusion went well, and I have full range of motion and no vocal damage. I can’t say enough good about my experience with him, his staff, and United Hospital.”
