Stefano M. Sinicropi, M.D., is a spine surgeon with Midwest Spine & Brain Institute. He has completed his orthopaedic residency at Columbia University in New York. Subsequently he completed the Kenton D. Leatherman Fellowship at the Spine Institute in Louisville, Kentucky, where he received training in both orthopaedic and neurosurgical spinal techniques. Dr. Sinicropi treats both adult and pediatric trauma, deformities, scoliosis, myelopathy, chronic conditions, infections and tumors. He is trained in the latest technology in minimally invasive spinal surgery, including percutaneous spinal fusion. Dr. Sinicropi has had significant experience at a Level I Trauma center treating major cervical, thoracic, lumbar and spinal cord injuries.
Dr. Sinicropi provides clinical assessment and treatment for all patients with spine pathology, including those who do not require surgery. He will work closely with the pain management specialists at Midwest Spine & Brain Institute, as well as work with rehabilitation experts to tailor a non-operative treatment plan for patients. If the patient has a tumor or infection then a treatment plan will be tailored in conjunction with the primary care physician, oncologist and/or infectious disease specialist.
