A brain aneurysm, also known as an intracranial aneurysm or a cerebral aneurysm, is a small balloon-like spot located at the brain artery wall. Over time, blood wears on the outer wall as it passes through the artery. When this happens, the artery can swell and rupture, causing blood to migrate into the area surrounding the brain.

Using catheter techniques, micro platinum coils of wire are inserted into the aneurysm to seal it off. Following the procedure, our surgeons help manage the recovery in the ICU.
